Trends come and go, but style is timeless, and Schlage's designers believe that no style is complete without your personal touch. Here we take a look back at top trends in 2014, and look forward to rapidly evolving styles for 2015. Which style elements inspire you? How would you make them uniquely yours?
At the start of a new year, styles don’t change instantaneously. Like us, they evolve and develop over time, often into unique and surprising combinations of elements that we’ve all seen before—especially as designers add their personal style to the mix. Below, Schlage has predicted some of the style evolutions we’re likely to see in the year ahead.
Marsala works as a fresh update to the classics. Last year saw a rise in 1950s-inspired transitional designs. This year, classic colors of the 1960s and 70s like olive and orange are especially chic. With 2015 designs skewing toward contemporary, you can give these classics a modern update by pairing with Marsala.
Go glitz and glam for the New Year. Evolving out of the French-inspired feminine looks and metal mania of 2014, Glitz and Glam will also be big this year. Think high-gloss, lustrous finishes like glass and chrome paired with soft greys and pinks. This look effortlessly merges classic feminine style with bold shine and hard lines.
Schlage offers a range of trim, knob and lever styles and finishes to add the perfect touch to any home’s décor. As your style continues to evolve year over year, you can be confident that Schlage will always have the door hardware designs to not only complete your room, but show off your personality.
